Who may participate?

If you call yourself an artist, you're welcome here. The more diverse the group the more challenging and rewarding the discussions become.

Not sharing?

That's ok, you don't have to share something to participate.  Just go check out some art! It's not necessary to give a critique if you don't want to. If you do venture into those waters, here are some guidelines:

Giving Crits

Instead of using phrases such as "I like..." or trying to solve problems for the artist, think about ways to express what you find successful or unsuccessful about a piece. Why do you feel that way? Is there something that would change your opinion?

Receiving Crits

Putting your work out there is terrifying on the best of days, I know it's part of your soul hanging there. But even so, try to step aside and let the work stand on its own. It's stronger than you might think. If you try to take the crit for your work, you'll get hurt. Nobody wants that.
